Monologues are essential for auditions, and give us great insight into a character on stage. But they are so much more than just a long speech! And how do you keep the story moving and capture your audiences attention? Learn essential tools to help you break down your script, and tell a stunning story that is sure to be riveting and engaging.

Students must come prepared with 2 short, memorized monologues

Intro to Acting

Explore the craft of Acting with faculty member Marie Sirakos. Dip a toe into the physicality of the expression and come away with some simple tools you can use to immediately improve your presence on stage and off.

These three classes can be taken independently or as a trio to further your exploration. Each class is 2 hours long. Open to all ages 11+

Making Meaning:

Exploring the work of the Actor

Explore your innate creative abilities and hone your skills to clearly communicate character and story. Practice the effective use of vocal, physical, intellectual, and emotional resources and well as character and script analysis and critical feedback skills.

We will work on cold readings, scene work, and monologues with an emphasis on building community and working as an ensemble to support each students particular goals. with Sage Alia Clemenco
